Yoga Sanctuary 200 Hour Teacher Training

Deepen your practice. Find your voice.

Whether you've dreamed of becoming a yoga teacher for years or simply feel called to take your practice deeper, our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is an invitation to learn, explore, practice, and grow together.

Over five immersive months, you'll dive into the foundations of yoga, anatomy, philosophy, meditation, pranayama, sequencing, teaching methodology, and the art of creating an inclusive and welcoming space for every body. You'll spend plenty of time on your mat, but you'll also spend time asking questions, practicing your teaching, learning from one another, and discovering what kind of teacher/practitioner you want to be.

You don't need to be the most flexible person in the room. You don't need to master a handstand. And you don't need to have it all figured out.

You just need curiosity, an open mind, open heart and a willingness to show up.

Come as you are. Leave ready to share the practice in a way that is authentically yours!

Why join Yoga Sanctuary’s 200 Hour Teacher Training?

At Yoga Sanctuary, we believe yoga is about so much more than the shapes we make with our bodies. The asana practice is one part of a much bigger tradition, one that invites us to explore how we move, breathe, think, connect, and move through the world.

Our studio is filled with people of different ages, different bodies, different abilities, different backgrounds, and different reasons for stepping onto a yoga mat. All coming to practice together in community.

That's exactly how we want you to learn how to teach.

Our teacher training is approachable, practical, and rooted in both the physical practice and the deeper teachings of yoga. You'll study the history and philosophy of yoga, explore pranayama and meditation, and consider how these teachings can become meaningful and relevant in everyday life, not just something we talk about on a yoga mat.

You will take a deep dive into the asana, not just how a pose is supposed to look. You'll learn how how each pose is supposed to feel in the body and how to teach each and everybody that is in front of you.

You'll learn to adapt, offer options, communicate clearly, and teach with curiosity and compassion.

Learn to Teach, Not Just to Demonstrate

We're not interested in creating teachers who can perform the perfect pose or recite a script of Sanskrit cues. We're helping you become a teacher who can see the room, listen to your students, make thoughtful adjustments, and respond to what's actually happening in front of you.

You'll learn to connect the physical practice with the breath, the mind, and the broader teachings of yoga. You'll explore how yoga can support people both on and off the mat, while developing the skills to share those teachings in a way that feels authentic, accessible, and relevant.

You'll practice teaching throughout the program, receive supportive feedback, learn from your classmates, and have plenty of opportunities to develop your own voice.

You don't have to arrive as an expert. You just have to arrive willing to learn.

We'll meet you where you are, and help you become the kind of teacher who can do the same for others.

A Five-Month Journey

This is an immersive five-month experience designed to deepen your personal practice while giving you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to begin teaching yoga. We’ll learn together in the studio, but some of the most meaningful learning will happen between our sessions, through personal practice, observation, reflection, reading, and continued study.

Our Schedule

February 1 – June 28, 2027

Every Monday | 6:00–7:00 PM
Our weekly Monday sessions are a chance to reconnect with your cohort, practice, ask questions, explore the material more deeply, and begin putting what you've learned into action.

1st & 3rd Weekend of Each Month

Saturdays | 12:00–8:00 PM
With a one-hour break built into the day, Saturdays are our deeper-dive days. We'll explore yoga philosophy, anatomy, asana, teaching methodology, sequencing, and more through a combination of discussion, practice, hands-on learning, and teaching labs.

Sundays | 12:00–4:00 PM
Sunday afternoons give us time to integrate what we've learned through practice, discussion, teaching, feedback, and reflection.

Learning Between Sessions

Your learning doesn't stop when you leave the studio. In addition to our scheduled sessions, you'll complete approximately 50 hours of independent study and practice throughout the training.

This includes:

  • Online learning and video lessons

  • Assigned reading and exploration of yoga philosophy

  • Personal yoga practice

  • Meditation and pranayama practice

  • Class observation

  • Teaching practice

  • Reflection and journaling

  • Homework and written assignments

  • Sequencing and class planning

These hours are an important part of the training, not simply extra homework. They give you the opportunity to take what we're learning together and make it your own.

Your 200-Hour Commitment

Altogether, the program includes approximately 200 hours of learning, practice, teaching, and exploration. You'll have the structure and support of our in-person training, while also having the space to develop your own relationship with the material.

Come ready to learn, practice, question, explore, and grow.

YOUR TRAINING COMMUNITY

One of the most important parts of teacher training isn't found in the manual.

It's the people you're learning alongside.

One of my very best friends and first business partner I met in Yoga Teacher training. You'll spend five months practicing, learning, laughing, questioning, and growing together.

Our goal is to create a space where you can ask questions, be curious, try new things, share, open up, explore vunerability and learn.

Yoga is a beautiful practice that goes way beyond the asana. Exploring yoga teachings while simultaneously exploring our own story, the lessons we have learned and how those lessons have shaped who we are, impact the way we speak to one another, how we interact in the worlsd and ultimately how we teach.

This is going to be an epic journey, are you in?
