Studio Etiquette

ARRIVE EARLY

Please plan ahead and leave enough time for parking and walking to the studio from your car. Our studio is small, please try to reserve your space ahead of time. Check in 5-10 minutes before class to get a spot in the room and get situated. If it's your first time visiting the studio, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to get your account set up and sign the New Student waiver. We value our students' experience in class, for this reason we will not allow late arrivals 5 mins past start time.

CLEANLINESS

We work hard to provide a clean space for you to practice, please help us keep it that way. Please remove shoes and store under benches or in cubbies in the reception. If you borrow a mat from the studio, please wipe it down, roll it up and put it away after your practice. We provide cleaning spray and wipes in the shelves at the back of the studio. If you spill something on the floor, please wipe it up.

CELL PHONE USE

Cell phones are prohibited inside the yoga studio - this is your time to disconnect from technology. Please turn your phone off and store in provided cubbies. If you are a doctor on call or have another type of impending emergency, please let the instructor know that you need to place your phone by your mat (on silent/vibrate).

MUTUAL RESPECT

You are here for You. Feel free to take class at your own pace - take breaks when needed or sit things out if you aren't feeling it. Instructors are here to guide you safely through a practice and some (not all) offer hands on adjustments. Please feel free to use the permission cards (located at the front desk) to indicate whether you’d welcome adjustments or not. If you need to move significantly different from your teacher’s instruction, please keep to a minimum as this can be distracting to others. Our studio is available for rent if you’d like to flow without restriction, please contact us for availability.

STAY UNTIL THE END

Please try to stay to the end of class. If you do need to leave early, please see that you give yourself a moment to wind down, attempt to leave before savasana and make your exit as quiet as possible. If you know you'll need to leave early, please set up your mat near an exit door and give your teacher notice before class begins.

STORE YOUR BELONGINGS

Please store your belongings in the cubbies outside the studio space so that you may practice without distractions. The front door is locked during class, unless someone is at the front desk. Please leave valuables at home. The practice of Yoga includes the idea of non-attachment and non-clinging…declutter your surroundings, declutter your mind.
