Introducing Alison Solam

November 1, 2019 Yvette Sanchez

Join Lead Trainers Yvette Sanchez and Michele Hauseman, including our sanctuary collective of guest teachers in this unique opportunity to deepen your practice and learn the essential skills to order to become your best teacher. Our 200-Hour training is rooted in the style of vinyasa yoga, combining the heart and science of Yoga. This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the art and practice of teaching soulful and skillful vinyasa yoga, drawing from a wealth of knowledge and fundamental tools to develop the gifts, heart and unique voice of each teacher. We aim to guide you on your own Dharma (divine life purpose) with essential teaching skills, sacred wisdom and practical tools to support you on and off the mat.

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone who wants to deepen their practice and immerse themselves in all that yoga has to offer. This training is not just for those who want to teach yoga. The program offers an integrated approach to serve as the catalyst for change and growth in order to transform your life.

What to expect?

The Yoga Sanctuary 200-hr Teacher Training schedule is divided into 6 weekends over 6 months including a retreat in the spring. Each weekend will consist of Yoga practice, lecture, journaling exercises, homework, teaching practicum. Final exam will take place at the end of the retreat. The curriculum begins with a dive into functional anatomy and asana biomechanics, mantra, Mudra and philosophy that will transform and deepen your practice of yoga. We will step into the path of transformation and begin to gain clarity of the desires of our hearts. We will then dive into the art of teaching. This includes everything from creating class themes, building sequencing maps and learning to safely and intentional give hands on adjustments, to developing your voice and what it means to step into the seat of the teacher. Through this process we learn both how to inspire ourselves and others through the practice of yoga.
