Elizabeth Snyder Bio
Yoga entered my life at a young age as part of my 15 years of dance training. But it wasn’t until later in life, after leaving the dance world behind, that I began to truly understand and love the practice.
During this time being on my mat brought me much needed moments of serenity when everything else felt hard and confusing. I fell in love with the practice and took my first teacher training in 2015. I emerged totally transformed by yoga’s depth and eager to share it with others. I dove in to teaching and have been offering up my yoga ever since.
My classes grow and change as I evolve as a human and a teacher. But what has always been constant is my emphasis on moving in a way that is therapeutic for the body. My teaching style revolves around precise verbal cues that are designed to shift your awareness inward and help you develop a deeply intentional practice. My hope for my students is that this inward focus leads them towards more moments of clarity and peace.
In addition to my public classes I offer continuing education and teacher mentorship for yoga teachers. Beyond yoga, I care deeply about the Orcas (and the health of the Salish Sea), enjoy walking my little dog Baxter around Edmonds, and relish in my alone time at home.
